Alex T. Roshuk was born in New York City. He attended Peter Stuyvesant High School, John Jay High School, Princeton University, Concordia University (Montreal) and McGill University, Faculty of Law where he obtained two law degrees with distinction (LL.B./B.C.L., 1997). Since 1998 he has been practicing law in New York State. Prior to the practice of law he was active in a variety of not-for-profit organizations including the International Network for the Arts, Inc. (funded by the Rockefeller Foundation); the 185 Corporation -- the creator of the Standby Program; Le Videographe, Inc., a Montreal Media Arts Centre; Main Film, Inc., a Montreal film cooperative; Playwrights Workshop (Montreal) Inc., a Canadian play development centre. He also produced and directed a variety of films, videos and multi-media presentations including several radio series broadcast in the United States and Canada.
